THE ALL DISTRICT CHORUS, STRINGS, AND BAND FESTIVALS

Registration for each Semester includes one (1) ticket to the All District Music Festival held in the Fred Kavli Theatre of the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza. Parking for the Festivals is Free of Charge. Parents who register online for the Spring Semester will receive one (1) additional ticket to the All District Music Festivals. Additional ticket cost $5.00 each and will be available for cash sale at the door during the dress rehearsals and performances. You can also order tickets online (including $25.00 Founders Circle Seats) from the Conejo Schools Foundation Website. www.conejoschools.org

Online Registration for
Elementary BAND Programs


 

General Program Description (The program at each school may vary slightly)
Beginning Elementary Band
begins in the 4th grade and students may choose from flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet, trombone or percussion. Advanced Elementary Band is for 2nd year musicians. Group band classes generally meet twice a week for a half of an hour during the school day. The Elementary Band Program is held in two semesters and runs for the entire year. Beginning students are only accepted for the Fall Semester. Students will perform throughout the year with a final performance at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza

Due in large part to the success of this program, area middle and high schools have repeatedly earned awards for their excellence. Statistics indicate that a great majority of students who actively participate in a instrumental ensemble throughout high school go on to graduate from a four-year college or University. Instrumental music can enhance your child’s educational experience

Materials Needed:
Supplemental material will be provided by the instructor at no extra charge. Parents are responsible for providing the instruction book and an instrument and the Band Instructor will provide information on where to purchase the instruction book and where to rent an instrument. Some schools may be able to provide instruments. Check with your school’s Band Instructor to see if instruments are available for loan. It is suggested to rent the instrument for the first semester. Band Tuition for the 2009-2010 School Year is
$165.00 per Semester.

AND FINANCIAL AID FORMS

Payment plans are always available and the minimum due is $41.25 at the beginning of each month starting October 1, 2009. To establish a  payment plan please click on the following link to download the payment plan agreement. Complete this agreement, attach it to your completed registration form and your first payment (make checks payable to ACCV) and turn it in to your Music Instructor. PAYMENT PLAN AGREEMENT FORM

Financial Assistance in the form of partial or full fee waivers are available by clicking the link to download a REQUEST FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FORM. Please complete this form, attach it to your registration form along with any payment that you can make and turn it in to your Music Instructor. Please Note: Our financial assistance funds are limited and we encourage parents to make some amount of a partial payment so that there are funds for all students.

Online Registration for
Elementary CHORUS Programs


 

General Program Description (The program at each school may vary slightly)
Junior or Beginning Chorus
is for students in the 1st and 2nd grade. Senior or Advanced Chorus is open to students who have participated in one previous year of chorus. Generally, Chorus meets once a week for at least half of an hour, generally after school. The Elementary Chorus Program is held in two semesters and runs for the entire year. Students will perform throughout the year with a final performance at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza.

Through the Elementary School Chorus Program, The Arts Council of the Conejo Valley strives to help students find their inner voice of music. The Arts Council feels that making music involves complex, higher order neural processes that integrate aural, spatial, logical, linguistic, kinesthetic, and emotional connection. We hope that the Elementary School Chorus program will be a pathway for each student to discover an appreciation for music.

Materials Needed:
Supplemental material will be provided by the instructor at no extra charge. The Chorus Instructor will provide information regarding concert attire and personal items needed for advanced theatre style programs.

Chorus Tuition for the 2009-2010 School Year is
$90.00 per Semester.

PLEASE NOTE: The is an additional Music Performance Lab Fee for the Following Schools:

Acacia - $25.00 for a total of $115.00
Conejo - $25.00 for a total of $115.00
Westlake - $35.00 for a total of $125.00
Westlake Hills - $35.00 for a total of $125.00
